Unity 3D Engineer – AR / VR
Permanent, Coventry, £50,000
Unity 3D Engineer | up to £40k
Imagine an organisation set up where the main goal of what people do is to push boundaries. Harnessing insight from over 700 multifaceted industry experts under one roof to create tomorrow’s world. If you choose to join this business, you’ll be a part of a culture which exudes pride in its people and purpose: creating meaningful commercially viable solutions that shape the needs of generations to come.
The actual physical world is increasingly intertwined with the digital as we learn to model reality; as our interaction with objects translates through the Internet of Things; as infrastructure become autonomous; and as society adapts its values to incorporate the digital.
The organisation we are working with have built a successful business by applying technological experts to industry, earning the hard-won trust of top British blue-chip commercial clients. Now Government and those very clients are challenging this organisation to enable them to take advantage of the amazing potential of new digital technologies.
This has meant the rapid and ongoing growth of the Mixed Reality division.
As a leading UK Research & Development centre, there are multiple routes to progression that each come with the opportunity to work on cutting edge R&D projects for some of the most well-known brands within industry.
This role would suit a Unity Developer with experience and an interest in VR / AR / MR technologies.
A typical week would include:
1. Coding / development work using Unity; integrating external applications, 3rd party SDKs and plugins.
2. Technical design for a variety of solutions
3. Close collaboration with other developers
4. Supporting delivery and improving development lifecycle and processes.
Whilst there is plenty of opportunity to operate strategically and actualise your creative ambitions, this is a hands-on role. That being said, the successful candidate would have to go out of their way not to make a meaningful mark within the Mixed Reality space.
